The founders at Automation Design Exchange have incepted, built and scaled award-winning businesses around Systems Integration, Distribution and Training in Industrial and Building Automation for over two decades; bringing extensive and demonstrable project experience with leading BAS brands – Siemens Building Technologies, Schneider Electric, EasyIO and Niagara Framework OEMs – Lynxspring and Johnson Controls.

We are well-versed in all HVAC tracks, Legacy Integrations, Industry Protocols and Standards and have created customer delight across several market segments – Hospitality, Healthcare, Commercial Workspaces, Energy Retrofits, Data Centres, Retail, Entertainment, Education, Pharmaceutical (21 CFR Part 11 Validation), Industrial, etc.

Our impressive track record as a premier provider of agile engineering-centric solutions spans across North America, the Middle East, Africa, India and South East Asia.

Automation Design Exchange (ADE) was founded in Jan 2020 at Buffalo Grove, IL, to focus on the North American market. Our clients trusted us with Outsourced Application Engineering and Software Services, Hardware Design Submittals, Sequence of operation and field services.

Where we are headed

The pandemic accelerated the need for healthier buildings, smart utilization of the built space, while Decarbonization and Sustainability goals brought in greater emphasis to reduce operational and embodied carbon emission, for meeting specific environmental targets.

Having walked through buildings, facilities all our lives and the valuable experiences and insights gained from our clients – investors, building owners, occupiers, tenants, facility and property managers, made us realize that it was time to reboot our focus and contribute at a higher level and for a greater cause.

We now offer, through our partnership with Great Software Laboratory (GS Lab), a Technology Services Provider, “Outsourced Technology Services“ to Technology OEMs, Platform Vendors, Master Systems Integrators, Property Management companies, facility managers and REITs and help them with their new products, platforms or enhance present ones. Having created 300+ digital products for its customers and with a development team of 1600 engineers, GS Lab and ADE are perfectly poised to help become the “Digital product engineering partner-of-choice” for our customers.

Our partnership with GS Lab helps us leverage their expertise in IoT, Big Data, Cybersecurity, AI/ML, Cloud, computer networking, security, communications, Cloud, and apply to specific markets such as physical security, HVAC, Building automation, video analytics, occupancy analytics, smart grid, smart lighting, etc. as they relate to Smart Buildings.

Formerly a Certified Protection Professional and Director of Operations for Pond’s Security Service GmbH, his industry expertise is well-regarded as he served on the Siemens Talon Dealer Advisory Council, and the Controls Group North America Systems Committee. Ken is also co-Founder of the ControlTrends Awards, an annual event that recognizes Building Automation and HVAC industry thought leaders, solutions, and technologies.
